Poster Design

            I wanted to combine the ideas of fear of the unknown with the beauty of new experiences.    I interpreted "LEAP" as jumping into something unknown, which is why I decided to go for a space theme. Pictured above is an astronaut floating in space surrounded by music, one of humanity's greatest forms of art.

       The sheet music in the back of the moon is "Für Elise" by Beethoven, one of the most recognizable pieces of all time. The design was made of Canva, combining different visual elements like music, technology, and nature. We may feel lost, but our creations surround us, helping us achieve the unachievable, no matter how large our personal challenges may be.

 

            I wanted to include the phrase "Exploring New Horizons" because it represents our exit from CEGEP and into new adventures. I wanted to give reference points to old movie posters, working with geometry, placing elements in a structure of lines. The fonts are simple with a slight nostalgic energy, and the wording is white to contrast sharply with the gleaming night sky.
